Siena’s Klaviyo integration enables AI-powered SMS support by connecting your Klaviyo account directly to Siena. This allows for automated conversations with customers and seamless helpdesk handoff.
As an example, your customers may reply to cancel their subscription to a billing reminder or send customer support questions after a Klaviyo marketing promo. Our Klaviyo integration will allow you to have Siena reply.
🚀 Installation Steps
Connect Klaviyo Account to Siena

Navigate to the Klaviyo integration setup page on Siena and click Connect. Do not be concerned if you see a message that says "App has not been approved".
Switching from Non-Native to Native Klaviyo Integration
If you're already using Klaviyo integrated with another helpdesk like Gorgias, both Gorgias and Siena might respond simultaneously to customers. To prevent that:

Go to the Klaviyo Integrations page.

Disable the Helpdesk integration.
💡 Integration Overview
Key items to note:

Non-subscribed profiles (what Klaviyo calls "unconsented customers") will not be automated by Siena. Their messages will only be stored in Siena.

Integration management is handled only from the Siena dashboard, not from Klaviyo’s site.

You can determine if you want conversations that Siena responds to sent to your helpdesk.
- If you choose "Send to helpdesk" you can decide if you only want conversations that Siena routes to an agent sent to your helpdesk.
- Conversations synced to your helpdesk are tagged with
siena-klaviyo-handoff
. -
Enable Thinking Time on SMS to allow grouping of customer messages and ensure delivery during outages. Recommended: 2 minutes minimum.

Monitor SMS usage via Klaviyo’s billing page. Siena uses Klaviyo to send SMS messages.
🔄 Disable/Uninstall Klaviyo Integration
Instructions if you have to disable or remove the integration.
Temporary Disable
If you need to pause Siena’s Klaviyo integration temporarily:

Re-enable the helpdesk integration with Klaviyo.

Disable the Siena integration from the Siena App Story
This does not remove the integration, so you won’t need to redo installation steps later.
Uninstall
If you no longer wish to use the Siena <> Klaviyo integration:

Re-enable your previous helpdesk integration via Klaviyo Integrations.

Remove the Siena integration from the Siena Appstore.
