What is business context?
A single source of truth for your general business context—no need to repeat the same information across different personas. Business context is used when generating every response. This information also helps personalize your product experience.
Why should I use business context?
When a new employee starts at your company, as part of their onboarding you would want to teach them about the company's mission, its values, its products, and its customers. This knowledge will help them better represent the company in all that they do and in every interaction they have.
Siena is no different.
By providing Siena with this business context, she will be able to factor it into every message she sends and decision she makes. And you won't have to write it more than one time, or update it in more than one place should you want to change anything.
How do I use business context?
- Navigate to the Persona Studio in Siena.
- At the top of Persona Studio, you'll see a section for Business Context.
- If you have not created a Business Context yet, click on Create. This will open the editor, where you can enter the information you want Siena to have about your business.
- Click Save.
- If you need to edit this at any point, just come back to the Persona Studio and click the Edit button next to Business Context.
The editor has a sample for you to help guide you when creating business context. But the best practice here is what is explained above. What would you want a new employee at your company to learn in their first week and to keep with them as long as they work there? Some questions to consider are:
- What does our company do?
- What is our product?
- What problems do we solve and for whom?
- Who are our customers?
- What are our company values?
