While large language models (LLM) are incredibly robust, they aren't flawless. Occasionally, they might misinterpret intents or even produce unexpected results. These models are designed to comprehend a wide array of topics, but to truly shine, they require business-specific knowledge. This fine-tuning enhances their abilities, enabling them to deliver insights and answers that are not only accurate but also relevant and precise to your unique business context. This is why it's crucial to regularly fine-tune your automations with Siena.
Perfecting Your Automations: Testing and Fine-Tuning
After setting up your automations, it's essential to fine-tune them to ensure maximum effectiveness. Here are some handy tips:
- In the Playground, ensure you select the appropriate Persona to achieve the desired tone for the responses. Make tweaks when necessary.
- Experiment with rephrasing your test questions. You can use real customer messages. Identify any patterns in the types of questions customers frequently ask and modify your expressions accordingly.
- Adjust the names of your automations if you find they're not accurately reflecting the intent of customer inquiries.
- For beginners, we strongly recommend keeping your automation as an internal note during the testing phase to prevent sending actual messages to your customers. Once you're happy with the test results, you can then remove them from internal notes. This step is crucial as internal notes will not impact Siena's deflection rate. Remember, the ultimate goal is for Siena to resolve tickets independently.
- Include all the necessary information that Siena needs to understand about your automation or your brand. Add instructions and contexts to your automations and Persona if needed.
- Do a regular audit of your automation library and make sure you don't have duplicate automations as these cause Siena to hallucinate in some cases.
Remember, fine-tuning your automations is an ongoing process, but it's one that will significantly enhance your customer experience.
