Siena AI now offers the ability to respond to inquiries directly from your Slack channels! You can also choose to receive updates on Siena automation activities in your Slack channel, keeping you in the loop at all times.
The Slack integration feature allows you to connect multiple accounts and automate them based on your preferences. This gives you the freedom to manage as many accounts as you need.
Integration steps
Step 1:
Sign in to your Siena account and navigate to the Slack page under Channels in the sidebar menu. Click on the Connect Slack button to link your Slack account with Siena AI.
Upon doing this, you'll be prompted by the Siena AI bot to grant permission to connect your account. Click on the Allow button to proceed with the integration.
Step 2:
After granting permission, you'll be directed to the Slack integration page where you can view all your connected Slack accounts.
Next, click on the Settings button to access the configuration page for your Slack integration.
Configuring your integration
There are two toggles on the configuration page:
- The first toggle controls the integration status. This serves as your main switch. For slack actions to run you should turn on toggle 1.
- The second toggle manages Conversation Automation in your Slack integration. Activating this toggle enables automation for your conversations on the selected channels. For slack automations to run you should turn on toggle 2.
To allow Siena to monitor your channels and automate conversations, select the channels you want Siena to engage with from the #Select a channel dropdown. Note: This will show only the public channels from your Slack workspace.
Once a channel is selected, it will appear below the dropdown.
Please note that Siena will attempt to automate all messages from that channel, including those from your team. To exclude certain users or domains, add your email domain or username in Content Moderation.
You can now enjoy automating messages from the various Slack channels and see all of the messages in the Inbox!
Uninstalling Siena
If you decide to uninstall the Slack channel integration, click on the Remove Button. A confirmation modal will appear. If you wish to proceed, click the Yes Disconnect button and we will revoke the token and remove the integration with your Slack Account.
