Gorgias chat widget has two modes:
- online (during business hours)
- offline (outside of business hours)
Siena sends the automated response according to the current widget mode. Read below to understand how Siena interacts based on the widget mode.
Online mode
During business hours Siena will automate chats directly in the chat window
Offline mode
Outside business hours Siena will respond to the customer back via email.
💡 Pro Tips:
- You can have your chat widget available 24/7 because Siena can respond at any time, allowing you to turn off offline mode. It's like having an agent who never sleeps!
- Configure a separate persona for chats. Add instructions to ensure the responses are as short as possible and include the attributes desired for a live chat agent.
